From the Monastery to Sant Jeroni
Distance: 2 hours and 30 minutes, 7km

We take the Sant Joan funicular, which will drop us off at Pla de les Taràntules. Once at the upper station, we take the path on the right, as indicated by the sign.
We will walk by the four needle-like rock formations called the Gorres, the highest one, topped by a cross is called Gorra Frígia. We will follow the main path at all times.
After crossing a narrow path between two rocks, there is a lookout on your left: the Serra de les Paparres viewpoint, to enjoy the magnificent views.
The path leads to the head of the valley, enters the forest and crosses Santa Maria stream via a wooden footbridge.
Go up the paved path; take note of a downhill path to your right, which we will take in order to return to the Monastery.

In about fifteen minutes, we will reach the Sant Jeroni chapel. We'll arrive at the top, going to the left, but before this, we can see the Mossèn Cinto viewpoint, halfway up to the top.
Once in the summit, a directional table will help us identify the surrounding geography from the Pyrenees to Els Ports and Mallorca.
We may return by taking the same path to the funicular or by walking down the old Sant Jeroni path, going to the crossroads where the downhill path starts and, once there, follow it down towards Pla dels Ocells to the Monastery.
