Situato nel cuore della Catalogna, Montserrat è accessibile da qualunque punto del paese in poco tempo, godendo di ottime comunicazioni con le principali arterie stradali. Inoltre, è possibile arrivare fino a Monistrol de Montserrat e prendere uno dei trasporti alternativi fino al santuario: il treno a cremagliera o la funivia.

Se venite in auto al santuario, il Patronato della Montagna di Montserrat offre un servizio di parcheggi sorvegliati, soggetti a una tassa pubblica decretata annualmente dal Parlamento della Catalogna.
La riscossione di questa tassa, oltre a finanziare la sorveglianza dei veicoli, serve a garantire al visitatore altri servizi come l'illuminazione, la pulizia, la cura delle aree verdi e dei Parco Naturale.

This measure means that all traffic, both light and heavy vehicles, will be diverted to the next exit (582B Esparraguera Sud) of the A-2 motorway.

From here it will be possible to reach the PK 4+400 link of the C-55 (in Olesa) via the C-1414 connecting Esparreguera and Olesa.

There will also be access to the B-40 between Abrera and Esparreguera, from where drivers will be able to reach the C-58 (from Manresa to Terrassa) or the C-16 motorway near Viladecavalls.

A third option is to continue as far as the Montserrat exit (570) and reach the Sanctuary via the BP-1103 (Can Maçana).

The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has begun emergency repair work on a water collector on the C-55 as it passes through Abrera on the branch road leading upwards towards Olesa de Montserrat.
