THE NATURAL PARK
The Paths of San Jerónimo
Ascent with the Sant Joan funicular, visit to the Nature Classroom. Approach to the summit of San Jerónimo via the Camí Nou. Descent to the monastery via the Camí Vell –Pla dels Ocells, Escales dels Pobres, etc.–. This itinerary offers extensive knowledge of the mountain: geology, vegetation, and fauna.

Bird’s-Eye View
A route through the natural park that will take you to the highest point of the massif, the summit of San Jerónimo. We will enjoy spectacular views and discover the peculiarities of Montserrat's terrain and forest.

THE MUSEUM
Archaeologist in the East
Archaeological objects from Mesopotamia and Egypt bring us closer to the first great civilizations.

- Approach the great ancient empires
- Highlight archaeology as a means to understand the past
- Explore the figure of Father Bonaventura Ubach to discover the beginnings of archaeology

Catalan Modernism
Casas, Rusiñol, and other modernist artists help us get a closer look at what Catalonia was like at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th, while we enjoy and learn to interpret their works.
Objectives of the activity:
- Analyze the modernist movement and the main artists it encompasses
- Emphasize the importance of Catalan modernism within the European pictorial movement of the time
- Relate and contrast the work of modernist painters with that of their contemporary painters

The Path of Art
An itinerary through the museum following the path of art from era to era, from Gothic to avant-garde movements. We will recognize the main artists and movements and understand the evolution of materials and pictorial genres. A visual journey suitable for preparing for university entrance exams and retaining the importance of painters such as Caravaggio, El Greco, Monet, or Picasso.

- Present the history of painting
- Enhance the analysis of artistic techniques and materials in relation to the history of painting
- Differentiate artistic movements and genres

Icons, East-West
This visit combines two of the Museum's collections: Phos Hilaron, icons of the Eastern Church, and Nigra Sum, a collection focused on the image of the Virgin of Montserrat. An iconographic journey through the different forms of representation of the Holy Image from medieval times to contemporary times and an immersion in the world of Byzantine icons allow us to contrast Western iconography with Eastern.
Objectives of the activity:
- Approach the spiritual manifestation of the icon
- Highlight the different iconographic aspects of the Holy Image of the Virgin of Montserrat
- Analyze spiritual representation in Eastern and Western cultures

THE ESCOLANIA DE MONTSERRAT
The Escolanía de Montserrat opens its doors for you to experience one of the oldest and most emblematic music schools in the world. We will visit the facilities of the three areas of the Escolanía: the Choir, the School, and the Residence of the choristers, and explain how their daily life is organized. We will end the tour at the Basilica, where you can hear the choristers singing live.
