Condol and rejection for the terrorist attack in Barcelona
F. Abat and Montserrat Community want to express our rejection and consternation about the terrorist attack on Wednesday 18 of August in La Rambla (Barcelona) and another try to sow the terror in Cambrils.
Our prayers and our solidarity are with the victims and their families.
We will continue defending a democratic society where the respect to the life and the freedom of all of us are the bases for a fraternal and peaceful coexistence.
7th Montserrat’s International Organ Festival
A new edition of this festival, consolidated as one of the appointments that fill the local musical summer. This year’s four concerts will be on June 24th, July 15th, August 12th and September 9th, as always on Saturday, at 9 pm in the Basilica of Santa Maria de Montserrat. They will also be free of charge.

The Escolania returns to the United States
This school year the Escolania returns to the United States after having performed there already in 2014, and for the first time, with performances on both coasts. The concerts will occur in the states of New York, New Jersey, Washington DC, and California. The origin of this spectacular tour is the invitation to take part in the festival commemorating the 100th anniversary of President Kennedy’s birth. Elisa Arimany at Montserrat’s Museum
Montserrat’s Museum presents a retrospective look at the work of sculptor Elisa Arimany (Sant Vicenç de Castellet (Barcelona), 1946). The Strength of an Idea , as it has been titled, is curated by Francesc Miralles, and shows 18 works from the artist’s personal collection. They portray the essence of her sculptural work: some works of the series Pressures, along with pieces of the series Cathedrals, exemplify the humanism that emanates from all her work: the Opression and the freedom together...
Access to Montserrat’s Sanctuary
Snow chains are required to access Montserrat through roads BP-1121 from Monistrol and BP-1103 from El Bruc. If you wish to come, it is recommended to avoid using the car and take the rackrailway (Cremallera) instead.
Jaume Ribas’s painting in the Museum of Montserrat
