Josep Niebla, the Museum’s temporary exhibition
Montserrat’s Museum pays tribute to the painter Josep Niebla through a retrospective exhibition, showing the main episodes of his artistic work. Sala Daura houses an exhibition entitled Explore and Vindicate. Niebla’s painting (29th September 2017 to 2nd April 2018), thatemphasizes the series he considers especially attractive, such as those dedicated to architecture or what he calls Plastical-political Alphabet, the handled newspapers, the seas and Africa.

Notice of strike for 12th December
Due to the general call for strike in Catalonia's public sector for 12th December , you are informed that the rack train and the funiculars of Montserrat will be closed throughout the day,
This strike affects all rack train services between Monistrol and Montserrat and all funiculars services.

Funiculars’ closing dates
Sant Joan Funicular will be closed from November 2nd 2017 to March 16th 2018, while Santa Cova Funicular will close until further notice , for maintenance of installations.
Affectations on Rack Railway Train Service on November 15th
On November 15, Montserrat's rack railway service will end at 13:48 hours in the upstream direction and at 2:15 in the downward direction due to the performance of a simulation led by Civil Protection, not considering the subsequent start-up of the service during the day.
The Funicular of the Santa Cova will remain in service throughout the day

Condol and rejection for the terrorist attack in Barcelona
F. Abat and Montserrat Community want to express our rejection and consternation about the terrorist attack on Wednesday 18 of August in La Rambla (Barcelona) and another try to sow the terror in Cambrils.
Our prayers and our solidarity are with the victims and their families.
We will continue defending a democratic society where the respect to the life and the freedom of all of us are the bases for a fraternal and peaceful coexistence.
